Evolution from KOTO's third album "Evolution" (out on 7 September 2016).

KOTO is known as a young and revolutionary Shinobue (Japanese bamboo flute) player.
"Evolution" is her first original album in three years.

In this album, KOTO collaborate with piano trio and wadaiko, presenting the new possibility of Shinobue's sound. Musical instruments are used to creat various sound in nature from the singing of the bird to the roar of the storm in this album.

The music video for the lead track Evolution was filmed in the Tengu Hornbeam community with special permission from Kita-Hiroshima city council. The community is a protected habitat and only part of the area is opened to public.

KOTO是日本新銳篠笛・神楽笛演奏家。《Evolution》是她時隔三年的原創專輯。
在這張作品中，KOTO與鋼琴三重奏，和太鼓等合作，展示出篠笛新的魅力。13首風格各異的樂曲共同表現出對於不平靜的時代以及強大的自然中，對於我們來說重要的事情是什麼這一主題。主打曲Evolution採取了不同以往的情緒激昂暢快的旋律，而《雷神》則通過龐大的音樂空間來描繪出自然的壯大。各種樂器被用來表現自然中的各色聲響。

KOTO出生於日本廣島。受身為神樂團成員的父親的影響，她從5歲開始學習神樂笛，15歲加入苅屋形神樂團。19歲時自學篠笛，之後嘗試與不同的音樂風格同台，并在日本國外展開巡演。
