The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) question looks pretty simple, however, the solution to this Olympiad mathematics is pretty complex to solve. In this video, we show how to solve the value of x using the quadratic formula. In the first step, we simplify the given equation by dividing both sides by 4 to the power of x. After that, we applied the exponent rules. Then we rewrite the equation to make it simpler. We applied the pq quadratic formula to solve the final stage of this equation.
