The lawsuit was filed in October 2020 and alleges that Google has monopolized the online search and search advertising markets. The government claims that Google has used its market power to stifle competition and harm consumers.

The lawsuit is still ongoing, and a trial is scheduled to begin in September 2023. If the government wins the case, it could force Google to make significant changes to its business practices.
