This customer reported that his phone suddenly got hot inside his pocket, and he noticed it would no longer turn on. He took it to Apple, who told him the motherboard was dead. He then took it to another 3rd party repair shop who told him the same. His pictures were important to him so he searched for iphone data recovery services and sent the phone here, to iBoard Repair.

By observing the current draw from my dc power supply while touching my probes to the battery connecter and prompting the phone to boot, it led me to suspect a power rail may be short. Since NAND power rails were the most easily accessible I checked them first and luckily enough that is were the problem was.
