Technology is one of the many tools we use to tell moving stories visually and to constantly stay updated which helps our films last longer! I just got my hands on the Sony A9 Mark III and I can’t wait to use it on a wedding shoot to test out its capabilities in 4K! Why? Because it has a global shutter! The first of its kind in a hand held digital mirrorless camera. What does that mean? No more flickering images with bad quality LEDs and no more rolling shutter effects! Photographers’ flashes will look more cinematic instead of a half exposed horizontal split screen! I’ll keep posting my first hand feedback right here so you can decide for yourself if this is the camera you need as a videographer.
