The theme for Black Maternal Health Week 2023 was, "Our Bodies Belong to Us: Restoring Black Autonomy and Joy!" During this week I hosted a three-part conversation series on IG Live. In part one of the series, I sat down with midwife Micha Hurley to discuss her journey to midwifery. We also talked about the safety of Black birthers, the differences between hospital births and birthing at a birth center, and the choices we have as birthers.
