Happy New Year’s everyone! I can’t believe it’s already 2024!
Welcome to all those who are new to JohnMcCoyArt. I’m Cincinnati artist and illustrator John McCoy.

I have taught various community Education art classes at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and taught all grade levels in local schools the art of mural painting.

It’s a New Year’s resolution of mine to practice drawing on a daily basis, and with this video I invite you to learn with me using the art education book “Fun with a Pencil” which uses Andrew Loomis’ methods of drawing.

I the beginning we focus on utilizing the sphere and contours to develop a ready tool for laying in the underlying shape of faces.
