Mother is speaking with Mrs. Nez, a neighbor, at the entrance of the apartment. Mrs. Nez sighs, and says she's worried about the hamster she has to leave at home because of her sudden trip to the countryside. Mother offers to take care of the hamster and brings it home. Mikan likes it and Yuzuhiko seems worried. Glancing at them, Mother tries to put some food in the cage but the hamster scurries out of the cage.
