1872 Ghost town Osceola Nevada, this is Nevada’s longest lasting placer gold camp. Gold discovered in 1872 with a belt 12 miles long and 7 miles wide. When rich placers were found in one of the areas gulches the gold rush to Osceola was on. With a population of 1900 the water did not hold out, population dwindled and then came a large fire that took the town. We explore what’s left of the town and its cemetery.
