L. Berio: Folk songs for mezzosoprano and 7 instruments (instrumental part) - VI. La donna ideale

Abstract:
Historical recording with Maestro Luciano Berio in which the instrumental part of his own work ‘Folk songs for mezzosoprano and 7 instruments’ is rehearsed. In this fragment is reviewed the song no. 6. La donna ideale. To improve the performance, Berio makes agogic corrections: not too much ritardando, this piece should sound like a machine in continuous motion. He also reviews the bowings and articulation on the cello, several specific notes and tuning, the sound in the strings (with less vibrato), and the rapport to play together.
