The story of Lord Krishna is spread across various ancient texts including The Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, and Bhagavata Purana. Krishna is the main focus of these texts, and they contain various incidents and anecdotes from his life. Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eight avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu and he has on earth to defeat the evil that persists.
The life of Krishna was filled with interesting events and incidents that are an integral part of Hinduism. The show portrays these incidents and the life of Krishna, on the small screen. The texts also talk about how Krishna saved the residents of Vrindavan, by lifting up a hill, called Govardhana. He was also known as an enchanting and playful lover of the females, lovingly called as the Gopis. The adult life of Krishna is filled with anecdotes of Mahabharatha and the Great War, where he guided Arjuna and others to victory by giving them lessons of life, which is presented as a conversation among the two.
