Speaking at an exhibition of the late musician's canvases and letters in London on March 17, 2011, Rosmary Breen said her brother, Syd Barrett, could never understand why people put his brief success with Pink Floyd ahead of his lifelong passion for art. Besides his paintings, a series of letters to old girlfriends Libby and Jenny dated 1962-1965, are on display, which are affectionate, candid and witty and feature cartoons and doodles. The exhibition at Idea Generation Gallery in east London ran from March 18 to April 10, 2011.
