This is a short movie of my room in 2024. I have been struggling financially and I may be homeless soon. I wanted to capture what I have now because it might be gone sooner than later. There is a quick introduction which showcases my collages and some of the more interesting objects in my room. However, the bulk of the film is a tour of the miniature theme park (The Eclectic Kingdom) I created out of miniatures and objects I had collected through the years and from Dollar Tree, the 99cent only store and various thrift stores. Unlike other miniature collections, I don't really strive for realism. Just a fun showcase which includes Legos creations from a collection I bought in my youth, years ago, for the kids I was looking after as an afterschool "instructor" at a Gerber Pre-School. Recently I unpacked those Legos (as well as similar "building blocks") and constructed buildings and vehicles for The Eclectic Kingdom. The "park" is partly inspired by the sadly long closed Buena Park Movie World attraction which made an impact on me as a kid. Cars Of The Stars (my park's first "land") is a direct steal from Movie World. In addition, the "park" has 2 additional lands: Sci-Fi & Fantasy Land and Minion Land. The Minions miniatures I started collecting during Covid. I am a huge fan of the movies. The tour even includes a mock up of a theme park brochure that I photoshopped using an old Movie World brochure. The "park's" signs are all hand designed. I wanted a simple 60's kid's animated cartoon look to them. I attempted to give the "tour" portion more than a cursory acknowledgement. I used a variety of camera "tricks", including sweeping pans and bird's eye views, as well as shots only the camera could catch and stills. Since my room is basically "Mars", as compared by most room's of people my age, and since I often feel like a Martian in a world I have been placed in and don't often understand, I thought it appropriate to base the soundtrack on three Martian themed songs. Despite filming on a cracked screen cell phone, I try to give my little film as many big film attributes, including stop motion photography. I hope it's a fun little tour. Please "like" or subscribe if you enjoy this little film. It was truly a labor of love.

One more thing, there are some strobing and/or flashing lights and some adult content. This is made for adults with a kid like curiosity, but NOT for kids.
