About 30 houses, roads and power towers have been damaged as land ‘sinks’ in the Pernote area of Jammu-Kashmir’s Ramban. The incident occurred on April 25. 60,000 people from the Gool sub-division have been affected and have been shifted to Panchayat Ghar and other places. Medical facilities and food have been provided to these villagers by the administration. They are on high alert and monitor the situation. Notably, a 6 km long Pernote-Thalwa road has been damaged due to a massive landslide in the area.
