Congratulations to the family of Ernestine Romero on being presented the lifetime achievement award at this year's All Star Music Awards. I am so happy to see her being recognized for all her hard work and contributions to our industry.

I was supposed to perform my new single, "Soy Mas Fuerte" for the Romero family as a special tribute to Ernestine, but unfortunately it didn't quite work out that way. Everything happens for a reason and I believe it couldn't have played out any better than it did.

Thank you to Jesse Villarreal for being so open minded and being a part of this very special intimate acoustic performance as this was our very first time we had ever performed this song together. Your words in your writing speaks volumes and I am extremely blessed to be able to sing them to life. I know how much “Soy Mas Fuerte” means to you. It’s a very important song that you actually had full control in the writing and choosing every aspect of the production and I was just so honored to have been chosen by you to be the artist to sing it.

Thank you to Joe Casas for allowing us a place to pay tribute to the Romero family in honor of their beautiful Ernestine. My family and I are so grateful for your friendship and your kindness.

And finally, thank you to the Romero family for your constant love and support. Your Ernestine was a beautiful soul to all around her and she will not be forgotten. Her light as well as her amazing voice lives on in her music and through all of you. I love you familia!
