here's a two finger old time banjo version of Ida Red (or down the road?) that I worked out from Morgan Sexton's playing. I love his approach to the banjo, especially the way he gets through this classic piece. There’s a tremendous amount of space in his playing. You can find some recordings of him on June Appal’s bandcamp site. If you're into his playing, check out the Appalshop Archives youtube page. They've been posting some fine archival material. I'm hoping to post a few more versions of his banjo pieces here as I have time.
