We need to a shift perspective to recognize musicals as significant works of art deserving of serious analysis and intellectual engagement. I urge both critics and fans to delve deeper into the thematic depth and underlying messages of musical theater, moving beyond surface-level enjoyment towards a richer understanding of the art form as a whole.
