The launch of ISRO’s Gaganyaan TV-D1 mission was aborted on 21 October 2023, at 03:15 UTC (08:45 IST). A liquid-propelled single stage Test Vehicle was scheduled to launch a Gaganyaan Crew Module (CM) for an in-flight abort demonstration of the Crew Escape System (CES).
