Today is no ordinary day, for it is a momentous occasion - my aunt Ruthie's birthday! After our exhilarating ride, we make our way back to the cozy haven that is Waldraus Am See, a charming Swiss alpine chalet. The ambiance is warm and inviting. As we gather for the birthday dinner, the atmosphere is filled with laughter, love, and gratitude for the incredible experiences we've had so far.
The birthday feast is nothing short of extraordinary, with delectable dishes that tantalize our taste buds and leave us craving for more! All dairy free and all delicious. They did lack on a dessert, but they get an awesome grade for the meal. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted to perfection. The attentive waitstaff ensures that every need is met, making us feel like royalty on this special occasion.
With bittersweet emotions, we bid farewell to Switzerland, knowing that Italy awaits us with open arms tomorrow. Before we conclude, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for joining us on this incredible journey. Over a year would pass with significant medical procedures, medicines, and the loss of 200 pounds. Gratefully, I recovered, but my intestinal system had changed forever - I was lactose intolerant.
