In 2002, VH1 wanted to rebrand their network with a younger demographic. To do so, they decided to launch a new talk show and hired an unknown standup comedian named Zach Galifianakis. Late World with Zach premiered in the Spring of 2002, but the ratings were so bad it was almost immediately in danger of cancellation. With the show failing and nothing to lose, Late World with Zach became bizzare, surreal, and hilarious. This is the story of a talk show doomed to fail, but a host determined to prove his point
