No jokes, friends! Yes, Q616-24 extends the list of 616s in emergency after a knuckle broke on this Sunday in Dacula, GA. I accidentally happened to stand beside the engines when fate struck Q616 again. I gave the conductor Ricky a ride to the separation point, then back to get a replacement knuckle from the main engine. We then returned to car number 75 and Ricky replaced the knuckle skillfully. I had another wonderful adventure on the CSX Abbeville Sub and was happy that I could be a bit useful. (Carrying an 80-pound knuckle at 90F for about a mile would have been quite an exercise.) The other trains are military train CSX W825-20, carrying all kinds of explosives, and manifest CSX X675-24 blasting through the countryside. Enjoy! [© 2016 MBMARS Productions.
