What is it about this Elbphilharmonie Session that exudes the greatest magic – Martin Stimming’s organic techno or the sunset over the Port of Hamburg? We think they both complement each other perfectly, and get us in the mood for a little drink!

Martin Stimming is a music producer from Hamburg who gained fame as part of the DIYNAMIC label with DJs and producers such as Solomun and HOSH. He now tours globally, performing in the hottest clubs and impressing as a live act by doing without a laptop. A sound aesthete and an all-round nice guy who arrived at the Elbphilharmonie with just a rucksack and cheerfully accepted the spartan support of one multi-socket strip and two office speakers. The location of his 30-minute live set is a little unusual: the Artistic Planning office, complete with a view of the Landing Stages. In normal times, it would have been almost impossible to pull off this production because the office is full of hustle and bustle, especially in the evenings. But these are not normal times – so we are delighted to take advantage of this strange situation to present a short and sweet Elbphilharmonie Session with Stimming.

THE ELBPHILHARMONIE
At the Elbphilharmonie, architecture and music merge to create a unique overall experience. Having first opened its doors in 2017, it has firmly established itself as one of the most popular concert halls in the world, delighting a broad audience with its diverse programme, outstanding acoustics and numerous participatory activities. The building, a converted warehouse positioned on the Elbe River, was designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. As a Hamburg landmark, it attracts millions of visitors each year.
