When I saw just one photo of this place I knew I had to see this up close, I have never really seen anything quite like this..

Fort Honswijk, originally called Fort Willem II, is a fort of the New Dutch Waterline. is one of these rare forts which survived a number of wars, was modified and reconstructed time and again until it even lost its head and took on a new duty before the second world war one which continued in the years after.

There seem very little information of its function during the war, something slightly strange, but perhaps the writings on the wall can tell us more.
