Moor Mother is a cross between poet and cyborg, musician and mystic, activist and time traveler, who takes memories of injustice and pain and uses them to etch the idea of a different future onto our consciousness – and, on the way, finds sounds that we won’t soon forget. Jazz Codes represents the second part of a trilogy that issued an unmistakable call for an awakening in part one, Black Encyclopedia of the Air. A journey through outer space and the realization that enlightenment can sometimes be extremely dark.
