July 19 2023, 1:25 pm - Tyr, the smaller eaglet at our Surrey Reserve bald eagle cam nest, was standing on the edge of the nest this afternoon while larger sibling Lof was doing some serious flapping, and Lof bumped into Tyr, who was knocked off the nest. We had people there quickly, and Tyr is now at the Orphaned WildLife Rehab facility (OWL) in nearby Delta, BC. At this point, all we know is that he is seriously undernourished, and that the folks at OWL are excellent and will do all they can for our brave young eaglet.
