History Channel’s popular series Vikings has brought some of Norse history and legend's most famous and notorious heroes to life. The popular series has also brought renewed interest to the life of Vikings during the Middle Ages. Characters like Ragnar Lothbrok, Lagertha, Rollo, and Bjorn Ironside are not just legendary figures in the pages of history books anymore but have now also become TV show characters with large fan followings.

But unfortunately, even good things have to wrap up sometimes. The popular series is coming to an end after six epic seasons. But why? This is the real reason Vikings is ending.
