Last year Antonello Manacorda and the Kammerakademie Potsdam launched a new Beethoven cycle with the First, Second and Seventh Symphonies, and they are now continuing this series of releases with the central Fifth and Sixth Symphonies.
Sony Classical will be releasing the orchestra’s recordings of the Fifth and Sixth Symphonies on CD and in digital formats on 6 October 2023. The complete cycle will appear in the spring of 2024.
