For my bonus round (this year The Great Cover Song Challenge was artists covering other artists in the challenge) I got to collaborate with my musician/producer friend from the U.K., Dan Morrissey. I sent him a group of poems. He picked one (one of my signature pieces, actually) and wrote, produced, and played a fantastic instrumental that went with the poem. For my part, I recorded my piece (in the bathroom!-the quietest place in my rented room) and sent it to Dan, who did wonders making it sound professional. Once he had done his magic, I (during a pet sitting -which I am at now as I write this description) filmed and edited the video. Nugget the cat makes an extended cameo and appears in the credits.
