Built as part of an "Elliot and E.T." Halloween costume, this is a 3d printed animatronic eye mechanism, enclosed in a felt-lined paper mache E.T. head. In the rear view, you get a sneak preview of the actual mechanism at work. Powered by an Arduino Uno and a Pololu servo controller, the eyes and eyelids are controlled via a Nintendo Wii Nunchuck; additionally, if the Wii nunchuck is left idle, it will go into "autopilot" mode, where the eyelids will blink at random intervals and the eyes will subtly look around.
