This project was a new one for me. Actually, I have barely even used a video editor before? I feel like these past few days have been a whole character arc for me. Let me just explain my progress as I feel the need to document it.

This all started with me remembering that "oh yeah, there's the mob drama CD" and I looked for the Audio and translations. Then I found katyatalks from Tumblr (same on Twitter) and was hit with how annoying it is to scroll down a text while listening and reading. The idea to do this was just me out of nowhere. And I decided to give it a shot.

I did not realise to ask for katyatalks's permission for using their translation, but later when I did ask, I thankfully got permission for that. But while I was waiting for an editor program to download I told EVERYONE that I'm doing this, mostly for personal motivation.

I started my project at 6pm on the 30.10 and I had no idea what I was doing. My first idea was to just smack a text &background picture, but I thought it would be boring so I wanted the picture to be of who was talking and THEN I wanted the expression on the character to match the text. Too extra for me, I should have at least looked up a reference of some other drama CD that someone has already made into a video?

But by Learning by myself, I learned A LOT. Such as "less is more" as you can see the difference between quality at the start and at the end of the video. Since too many changes in pictures were very messy and confusing, and I kinda... had trouble with a few pics so the image quality is awful. There are a lot of other mistakes that I realised only AFTER exporting and there's no way I'm fixing that up for a few years, (exporting took hours)

And today about 8-9pm as I'm writing this, on 2.11 I counted that I spent 26 hours on the creation part of the work, which to be fair, I had a lot of technical difficulties with. Thankfully, I told everyone that I'm doing this so it would have been embarrassing to not finish it. But overall I really enjoyed it. And I lowkey wish to start another similar project right away.
