These 2 simple lines can work as an eye-opener for all those people, who are endlessly running behind riches. Unaware of the true essence of life, to such men Kabir advises, to cherish every moment because when death will be waiting for us at the threshold, all the money and power will seem futile.

Kabir reminds us that we are just strangers in this world, who are here for a short duration. One day we'll be bound to leave all our claimed possessions behind. Then, why are we taking pride in our fortunes and property?

This human body is destined to decay and these glorious youth days will definitely come to an end. Even the next very second is uncertain, we can meet our end anytime. Therefore Kabir asks to be less materialistic and more spiritual and live every second to its fullest!

Life is nothing but just a mere two-day affair. We came into this world empty-handed and one day we'll leave this place exactly the same way.

Kabir further says that of this body and this soul there’s only one truth, that we must watch our actions to reap destiny’s sweet fruit. Without hard work, everything will sooner or later crumble down to ashes. The great saints exclaim that this world is a false affair, we should stop running behind our greed and start valuing the things that are with us, right here at the moment!

Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is a 7 days-long annual traveling folk music festival spread across six rural and urban locations in and around Rajasthan. Organized by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Rajasthan Police, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students, and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion, and identity.

The five editions, in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 50 artists, over 400 Yatris every year from other parts of India, and thousands of local audiences.
