This little ditty inspired a whole song that may end up on the next album 👀 it’s about a time when I was drunk in love and “Rosé” was well… drunk. Only ever wanting to see me when they’d had a few. Or seeing me and then having a tipple. I gave it everything and they gave me an emotional hangover equivalent to their actual hangover. Luckily it never lasted long and I got out of there pretty hastily. Here’s the words:

Rosé
My baby tastes like tonic wine
Wakes me up early when we’ve run dry
And I’d simply never be pouring half measures
Emotions by volume is proof
I’m so full with feelings
That if you could drink me
You’d go from stone sober to fool
Im so over zealous
Potent and careless
I want to distill me for you
This chemical romance a slow dancing car crash
I tiptoe this tightrope each day
My head is spinning / you’re sipping /I’m clinging
The hangover won’t win today
We love like we play tag
With rosé tinted red flags
Because sober you won’t want to stay
My baby tastes like tonic wine
So I call her rosé,
But can never call her mine.
