Do you know the coordinates and the health benefits and dangers of the location where you live? I was born and lived at 32* for 20 years, gloriously warm sunshine all year. I spent three years at University well above 37* then almost 30 years in Kentucky at 37* with winters in Florida, South Carolina and Alabama. I am never as happy or healthy as when I spend winters well below
37.
3.5 years ago I moved to an island at 32* close in latitude to the first 20 years from birth. The duration and quality of an individual's exposure to sunlight vary with latitude. Skin exposure to sunlight activates vitamin D synthesis. The absence of light, measured by the eyes and skin, activates melatonin synthesis in the pineal gland. Vitamin D or melatonin deficiency and insufficiency occurs at any latitude due to lifestyle and dietary choices. Moving away from the equator, especially beyond 37°, decreases vitamin D while increasing melatonin. Melatonin synthesis increases in cold habitats like northern countries.
In Short, live below 37* get AM and PM sun on bare eyes and bare skin, sleep in the dark, protect eyes and skin from blue light. * bam! Let me know how much happier and healthier you are at latitudes below 37 after a maior location change.

For a productive day we like to begin our mornings by watching the sunrise outdoors no matter where we may be. This is also a great time to see nocturnal animals heading off to sleep and others looking for their breakfast. Not much better than a hot cup of butter coffee or hot tea or water fresh from a spring on a sunrise hill any time of the year. Which would you choose? ☕️ 🫖 💦 Good Morning from OWLS!
