How we built and installed indirect cove lighting to upgrade this custom home gym, using smart LED strip lights!

When clients of ours tasked us with upgrading the already ample lighting situation in their unbelievably well equipped home gym, we knew we’d have to get creative. Their main goal was to improve the ability to change the mood of the room quickly and easily, without adding more overhead lights that shine down into their eyes while working out. We landed on the idea of running cove lighting (a form of indirect lighting, built into ledges or valences to hide the light source) along the perimeter of the room , and utilizing smart LED strips from @PhilipsHueofficial to take advantage of their brightness, adaptability and ease of installation. Once a plan was in place, and the required electrical was run by professionals, we set up shop and got to work- and as you’ll see, the results were nothing short of spectacular (if we do say so ourselves 😉).
