In earlier videos, we investigated the origins and impacts of the monsoon climate in Asia, but almost all continents have the potential to sustain a monsoon climate when there is a seasonal temperature contrast between land and ocean that can force regional winds to reorganize and so bring moisture far inland.

In this video, we’re going to look at the monsoon in North America, explore what causes this, and see how this does and will affect people and society.
