I shot this video on my iPhone and I hope you enjoy it! I pulled many all nighters making this and it was a really great creative escape for me during quarantine of 2020.

I wanted to release “Screen” to add to the conversation about the effect social media can have on mental health. Social media can either isolate us or connect us depending on how we use it. I was originally inspired to write “Screen” after spending hours in bed one day scrolling through social media, feeling depressed, and sick of living life through my phone. I noticed my insecurities were growing as I was sinking deeper and deeper into the comparison trap believing that other peoples lives were better than mine based on a highlight reel. It hit me that a lot of people probably feel this way and we should just talk about it. Little did I know that there would be a global pandemic in 2020 and the whole world would be forced to live through a screen. I know I’ve been glued to my phone and craving real connection now more than ever lately. Mental health is a serious struggle in the pandemic and I think it's important to show kindness to ourselves, support each other, not be afraid to be real, and talk about our mental health.
