What is a facet search? Within Diffbot's Knowledge Graph a faceted search can mean one of two things.

First, all queries are essentially faceting. By this we mean that a set of entities can be filtered based on their dimensions of properties. For example, a car can be located among cars by make, or model, or color.

Secondly, the facet search parameter in Diffbot's Knowledge Graph returns a summary of a given aspect of entities. For example, you could facet search for a list of skills of person entities who work at a given company.

In our third Knowledge Graph basics video we'll dive into both of these aspects of using the KG well.
