The 2022 Youth Forum on UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and Global Geoparks was held on November 1-4, 2022 in Suncheon Biosphere Reserve and Mudeungsan UNESCO Global Geopark. Co-hosted by the Korean National Commission for UNESCO (KNCU), the city of Suncheon, the MAB National Committee of the Republic of Korea, and the National Geoparks Secretariat, the forum was held to promote young people’s understanding and participation in activities relating to UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and Global Geoparks. 27 young people (aged 19-34) from the Republic of Korea participated in various programs, including lectures, discussions, workshops, and field visits.
