HIYA! Here is a 2021 VHS-rip and 4K 60FPS remaster of a live performance of the song "Métamorphose", by Japanese visual kei rock band "LAREINE" or "ラレーヌ". This was taken from the big live event "SHOCK WAVE ILLUSION 1999", where many artists performed.
It was never put on home video or DVD, it was only broadcasted on TV, but luckily, the broadcast was recorded by fans on VHS, but the quality we have online is terrible.
I had the EXTREME luck to know somebody that knows a fan in Japan who has a VHS containing the TV-recording. I was allowed to borrow it. Then, my friends at Rarezhut (A great American VK store) ripped it with their top-tier VCR setup, and then it got sent back to Japan! So the creation of this video took place in three continents hahaha!!!
I also upscaled this fresh new rip with artificial intelligence, to make it 4K and 60FPS.

LAREINE is actually my favourite band of all time. And while I think bands such as MALICE MIZER or X JAPAN are objectively higher in quality, my personal preference goes to the wonderful world of LAREINE.

And this is their peak. This SHOCK WAVE ILLUSION 1999 event is my favourite live performance by them. My favourite outfits, hairstyles, and three of their best songs were performed that day.

Yes, the singer is the same KAMIJO that would later be in Versailles, and now has a solo project.

Sadly, I don't think I can upload the full thing with three songs, because LAREINE was recently put on Spotify, so as a result, the two other songs get recognised by the YouTube copyright system, and get blocked in a ton of countries, including my own country of Belgium.

This is why you might have had difficulty finding some of my LAREINE uploads. They're still there, but blocked.
