One of the most brilliant performances of One More Light by Linkin Park.

Every now and then, when I go inside myself, and the world seems to disappear... I catch myself thinking of this beautiful human - Chester.

And I simply cry.

One particular interview keeps coming to my head, where he says (paraphrasing) "When I'm inside here, between my ears, it's a bad neighborhood". He was so vulnerable, and crying for help.. the hosts were just laughing. It crushed me. IT CRUSHED ME.

Why would someone invite him to listen to what he has to say, and act like he ain't saying anything?!

A little while after that interview, I heard the news. I couldn't believe it. I was SO ANGRY.

Maybe there wasn't much we could do. Maybe it was his time. But maybe he could have gotten help that day and be still just a little longer.

I cry to this day. But I am also sure I'm not alone. I am sure there is a legion of true fans that wished him wellness. All this warmth from the crowd, all these hands exchanging energy with him... I would almost risk saying those were the moments when he felt more connected and alive.

WE LOVE YOU CHESTER. I hope wherever you are you hear see this message and just know: It's ok! Be ok.
