Bass Player magazine presented their Lifetime Achievement Award to William "Bootsy" Collins. Victor Wooten introduced and played bass for Bootsy, who did not bring his space bass, and would not pick up anyone else's. P-Funk All Stars Frankie "Kash" Waddy (drums) and Blackbyrd McKnight (guitar) backed up Bootsy, who was then joined onstage by a who's who of bassists, including EW&F's Verdine White, Ready Freddie Washington, Nathan Watts, Steve Bailey, Sekou Bunch, Matt Garrison, y mucho más.
