On November 13th, 2022 three Virginia football players Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler, and D'Sean Perry were shot and killed by Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. after coming back to campus from a school field trip to Washington DC. After their tragic deaths, the football team and the Charlottesville community came together to mourn these young men.
