Some answers to FAQs...
How it was recorded: This was an unattended camera that only recorded when motion was detected. I set it up and let it run. Every time someone would come to our front door, the parent bird would scramble from the nest startling the visitor. When this did not happen for a couple days, I checked the nest and saw it was empty. I had no idea why until I checked the footage.

Why didn't you stop the crow? Until I retrieved the camera and checked the footage, I did not know a crow was involved. The camera was unattended and not being viewed live.

Did the Mama come back? Two days elapsed from when the crow took the last baby and I retrieved the camera and stopped recording. No footage of either parent robin was found in that two day period. So either the mama did not come back, or she did, but saw the empty nest our of the camera's field of view.

How can you tell mom and dad apart? I took a different video of this set of parents earlier in the spring when they nested under my deck. ("Robin Nest... Day 7") Mom is a bit fatter and sits on the nest. Dad is a bit thinner. All those babies grew old enough to leave the nest.

What's the white thing they eat? Fecal sack. Yep - it's gross but it keeps the nest clean. More clearly seen on my other video taken from a different nest earlier in the year. ("Robin Nest... Day 7")
