The plant will be built next to the existing Honda facility, which will be retooled to produce fully electric vehicles. Honda will also set up two battery parts facilities elsewhere in the province. The project is expected to create a-thousand new jobs and retain more than 4-thousand existing ones. The deal doesn't involve production subsidies but is expected to include up to five-billion dollars in public money.
