Learn how to use the present perfect verb tense and the past participle in this English grammar lesson! The present perfect can confuse many people, but this lesson will help you understand when we use this tense. I will teach you how to form the present perfect (have/has + past participle) in the affirmative, negative, and interrogative forms.

I will also explain how we use the present perfect with "ever" and "never" and the difference between this tense and the past simple.

We use the Present Perfect when the exact time of an action is not essential or not mentioned.
Example: I have been to Europe.

We also use this tense for actions that were completed recently, and words like "just," "already," or "yet" are often included.
Example: He has just finished his homework.

Watch my full lesson to learn the other uses of this tense. At the end of the lesson, there will be a short quiz where you must identify and correct any mistakes.
