The truth is that nepotism exists in all sorts of industries, from Hollywood to politics and more. And, yes, there is nepotism in the NBA too. Throughout the league’s history, some people have made a name for themselves in the association after their parents or siblings did the same.

Now, make no mistake, sometimes people are legitimate ballers and have genuinely earned their place in the NBA even though they are related to other basketball stars. I don’t want it to seem like anyone tied to another NBA icon is bad and doesn’t deserve it.

But, there have definitely been times that we have seen a player and executive in the NBA and thought: really?! Let’s take a look at a few of the times when people have said nepotism is running rampant in the National Basketball Association.
