James Bond in space seems like an irresistible idea for filmmakers in the late 1970s, and hey, there's a book left with Moon in the title and dealt with rockets, so maybe this was a match made in heaven. Retaining most of the same people that just made the phenomenal predecessor, they went all out to make this the biggest Bond of them all. Was the scale coupled with the old formula enough, or did their reach extend their grasp?
