There was a lot of action around the pasture this morning but we did not get to see much of it with cam 1. The Pond cam is still down but hopefully will be back up soon. The video opens with some amazing shots taken this morning by MLiz Photos showing some of the action today. F23 came back to the nest with an injury on her right foot. I wanted to show the closeups of F23's foot first and then also some footage taken of her at the end of the day after she visited the pond. We do not know what happened to her or how she got injured, but Liz did take a photo of an altercation between F23 and another eagle in mid air this morning (see 00:20 timestamp of the photo). It is unknown if the injury was caused by this or something else. The sub adult we saw yesterday that E23 flushed out was back on the treetop getting pestered by mockingbirds and flew off across the street. But there were two more sub adults in the pasture chasing each other, a 4 year old who was aggressive and a younger 2 year old. F23 joined in chasing them off.

The video continues with M15's first delivery of the day - RK squirrel and E23 flew in and claimed it and ate. E23 swallowed the pelt and it was hanging out of its mouth lol - E23 went to the porch to eat it. M15 then flies in with RK rabbit and E23 claims it. F23 will drop down to the nest to feed E23. Liz got fantastic photos of some of this action!

F23's injury does not look too serious and hopefully it will heal without any issues. Many thanks to all our ground photographers who are able to provide a better story of events of what the eagles are doing away from the cam view. The eagles do fight for food and territory and injuries do occur. We hope that F23, M15 & E23 will be safe during any altercation they might have. Thank you for watching!
