MuchMusic holds a contest every year called the Much Temp Contest where you send in an entry showcasing why YOU should be the next Much Music Temp. Top prize is a free car, $5000 cash, a job at MuchMusic for 2 months with travel expenses paid for and a downtown loft to live at. We used it as an excuse to make some short films, and gained one win, and 3 runner up spots over 3 years (2000, 2001 & 2002).

For MuchTemp 2000 I shot three entries for myself to increase my chances of winning that year. Although this one did not win, I was told that if I hadn't already won with my other entry then this one would have made it in their top 10. I actually prefer this entry over my winning one for its simplicity. Shot and edited all in one day.

Keep in mind that when these entries were shot back in 2000 video editing capabilities were not what they are now for home computers (I didn't even have a DV camera or firewire) so it was more impressive back then.
