This is a video discussing my Hierarchy of Jazz Needs, based loosely on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Posted for my Intro to Jazz Piano I course, but useful for anyone pursuing the study of jazz music! In no way is this the only way to conceptualize jazz and getting better at jazz, but it may help you gain some clarity in your studies.
